What is Panic or Panic Disorder?
Panic usually describes an heightened state of anxiety when your “flight/fight/freeze response” becomes activated. Typically, people experience an intense fear that something bad is going to happen accompanied by strong physical sensations.
Panic symptoms occur across a range of anxiety related problems. Panic Disorder is specific type of anxiety where you frequently experience mild and severe panic symptoms in a range of situations and often believe that something bad might happen to you. A common fear is passing out or even the fear of dying.
Together, we can understand how you are making sense of the problem, how it started, and the ways in which you are currently dealing with it. We can then make a plan about how to work through this challenge as a team.

Engaging in treatment for Panic or Panic Disorder is very challenging and will be difficult at times. We will approach the problem at an agreed pace but you may be encouraged to try things that feel tough.
